Professor in illustration at the School of Design (ESD) of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) since 2017, teaching in the Graphic Design degree and in the Master in Illustration and Animation.
Master in Image Design (2007) and graduated in Communication Design (2003) at Faculty of Fine Arts in University of Porto. Erasmus Program Scholarship at the Willem de Kooning Academy - Hogeschool Rotterdam (2002).
Specialist in Illustration (area 213) since July 2016.
Working as an illustrator since 2000, counts with over 20 published books and won some relevant awards and distinctions, such us: Merit in 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration (2019); Invited jury in ICA - The Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (2018); White Ravens Selection - International Children's and Youth Literature (2016); Shortlist World Illustration Award (2017); Invited jury in IndieJúnior Allianz - International Children’s and Youth Film Festival of Porto (2017); SPA – Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores (Portuguese Society of Authors) Award in the category: best Picture Book (2016); Silver Medal in the Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE), category: Design & Craft – illustration and photography (2016); Merit in 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration (2016); Best of the Show Picture Book category - 3x3 Magazine of Contemporary Illustration (2012); Invited in the Portuguese Illustrators exhibition in Bologna Children Book Fair (2012); Invited jury in Cinanima - International Cinema and Animation Festival (2012); Honourable Mention in the National Illustration Award. Portugal (2010 and 2011); Engenheiro António Almeida Award - Oporto University (2007).
