Call for Papers: Performativity(ies) of Memory(ies) Interdisciplinary Conference 2026 – Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 July 2026

We are pleased to invite submissions for the Performativity(ies) of Memory(ies) Interdisciplinary Conference 2026, which will take place on 22–23 October 2026 at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, Portugal.

The conference aims to explore the intersections between performativity and memory in contemporary artistic, cultural, and research practices, bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives from the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Keynote speakers: Paloma G. Diaz (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain), Alison Matthews (University of Salford, UK), André Barata (University of Beira Interior, Portugal) and Ana Cristina Pereira a.k.a. Kitty Furtado (Communication and Society Research Centre – CECS, Portugal).

Performers: Inês Amorim (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto), Carlos Tejo (Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Vigo, Spain) and João Gigante (Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, Portugal).

. 3–5 keywords
. Blind submission
. Language: English
