The submission deadline for the EAD27  has been extended to 30 September 2026.

The extension follows significant interest and requests from across the international design research community, giving authors additional time to finalise and submit their full papers.

Taking place in Porto from 3 to 7 May 2027, EAD27 will bring together researchers, practitioners and scholars to examine the increasingly complex relationships between trust, distrust and design.

Under the theme TRUST__DISTRUST, the conference invites contributions that critically investigate how trust is established, mediated, questioned or destabilised across contemporary social, technological, cultural and political contexts, and the role design plays within these processes.

Authors currently preparing submissions are encouraged to make use of the extended deadline and submit their full papers through the CMT platform by 30 September 2026.

The conference is hosted by the School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) in collaboration with ID+.
