Mariana Barbas holds a Bachelor´s degree (2022) and a Master´s degree (2024) in Multimedia Design from the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI). She is currently a doctoral candidate in Design at UBI and a research fellow funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). She is a member of the research units iA* Unidade de Investigação em Artes and ID+ Research Institute for Design, Media, and Culture. Her principal research interests encompass illustration, design theory, and history.
