The main aim of this project is to create and foster a network of researchers focusing on diverse topics in sustainable consumption behaviour research. Sustainable consumption behaviour is a complex, broad, interdisciplinary, and fast-developing area encompassing various research topics to understand, promote, and implement more sustainable consumption behaviour patterns. It reinforces circular economy research by adding relevant knowledge related to consumer attitudes and decision-making while seeking to develop consumer eco-literacy and environmental consciousness, reduce environmental impacts, control waste and resource consumption, extend products’ life cycles, encourage sharing-based consumption, etc. Focusing on different consumption areas, such as food, fashion, technologies, energy, etc., provides additional value for the sustainable consumption pattern analysis. In that way, sustainable consumption behaviour research unites knowledge of different academic disciplines and creates presumptions for their substantiated transfer to sustainable consumption policy and business practice in developing sustainable decisions and circular business models.
