RECYCLING SHOE

Advanced Education for Recycling and Circular Economy in the Shoe Industry

RECYCLING SHOE is an Erasmus+ project addressing the complex challenge of shoe recycling within the circular economy. Due to their multi-material composition and complex manufacturing processes, shoes are difficult to recycle, making innovative and sustainable solutions urgently needed in line with the EU Green Deal and environmental priorities.

The project will develop the first joint European Common Master’s Degree on Shoe Recycling, supported by innovative digital learning materials and industry-linked, challenge-based projects. By fostering strong collaboration between higher education institutions, VET centers, and the footwear industry, the project aims to advance research, improve waste management practices, and equip students and professionals with cutting-edge green and digital skills directly applicable in the shoe sector.
