The ID+ is pleased to announce that two integrated members from the Polytechnic of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) have been successful in the Knowledge Circle 2.0 funding call.
Knowledge Circle 2.0 awards service vouchers to support the pre-commercial validation and prototype development of research and development (R&D) projects that have been completed or are nearing completion and demonstrate strong potential for economic valorisation. The initiative aims to accelerate the transfer of research into practical applications by helping research teams validate technologies, strengthen their market readiness, and advance innovations towards commercialisation.
Among the successful projects, Luísa Arruda, an integrated member of ID+, has been awarded funding for “Sistema Vestível Inteligente de Feedback Sensorial para Próteses de Membro Superior”. Demétrio Matos, also an integrated member of ID+, is a member of the research team behind CARE-WEAR DEM: Wearable AI Platform for Dementia Monitoring, led by Professor Vítor Carvalho from 2Ai, which has also been selected for funding.
These results highlight the quality and impact of the research carried out by ID+ members and reinforce the Institute’s commitment to promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration between academia and industry.
ID+ congratulates both integrated members on this achievement and wishes them every success in the implementation of their projects.
