Dirk Loyens, a lecturer in ESMAD’s Design Department, was one of the winners in the ‘Best Paper Presentation’ category at the P.PIC 2024 | Porto Pedagogical Innovation Conference, with his article ‘Product Ideation in the Age of AI: Insights on Design Process through Shape Coding Exercises’. P.PIC, which took place on 4 and 5 July 2024, is an international scientific event organised by the Porto Polytechnic Pedagogical Innovation Centre. Its aim is to bring together students, teachers and researchers to share, discuss, reflect and develop their ideas on topics related to Innovative and Emerging Approaches in Education. The two-day conference programme included lectures, parallel sessions, a poster session and networking moments, including a Round Table on ‘Exploring the next frontier: ChatGPT, AI and the future of education’.
