The U.Porto Open Science Policy was updated in October 2024.

Recognising Open Access as one of its guiding principles, this diploma updates the U.Porto Open Access Policy (2008) and frames the activity of students, teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff of the University, as well as its research units, in matters related to the availability, access and reuse of scientific knowledge.
