Tiago Navarro Marques

Designer and researcher, has been focused on studies related to digital typography and press. PhD in Design / Typography by the University Polytechnic of Valencia. Masters in Typography by the University of Barcelona. 4-year degree in Communication Design. Also Masters in Graphic Design and Production by University of Barcelona.

He is currently teaching at the School of Arts of University of Évora, where he has been teaching since 2012. Furthermore, he has collaborated with School of Applied Arts of Institute Polytechnic of Castelo Branco from 2003 to 2012 (Assistant Teacher).

He started his activity as a graphic designer in 1995, collaborating with several companies, such as MAD&Pub (C.Branco), Criaturas e Publicidade (Lisbon) and Olinger & Strauer Agence de Publicité (Luxembourg). Developed projects for various clients, such as Banque Generale du Luxenbourg, Athletic Club de Bilbao (Museum), Municipality of Castelo Branco and SCUTVIAS – Autoestradas da Beira Interior.

He collaborates with the Center for the Study of Book History and Publishing (Lisbon), Iberian Institute of Design (Barcelona) and Research Centre of Faculty of Fine Arts of University of the Basque Country (Bilbao); Director and founder of the scientific journal “Grafema” (ISSN 1647-1024, Centro de Estudos Aplicados ao Design or Centre for Applied Studies in Design - http://gfm-grafema.com/ ); co-director of the scientific journal “Deforma” (ISSN 2253-8054; Editorial Sendemà, Valencia - http://deforma.info/ ).
