As part of COST Action DESIGNAE – “Fostering Nature-Centred BioDESIGN to Explore Regenerative Futures”, a project led by ID+ Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture, University of Aveiro (UA) in collaboration with the CICECO, TEMA and CESAM Research Units and funded by European Cooperation in Science & Technology, European Union, an Open Lecture entitled “Super Green: Regenerative Materials, Structures & Aesthetics” was held on 7 November at the Department of Communication and Art of the UA, with Fernando Galdon (Royal College of Art, London) presenting the concept of Bio-Brutalism, an emerging aesthetic that combines material regeneration and sustainable design, discussing several case studies.
The audience included researchers from various Research Units, including doctoral and master’s students.
