Today ID+ IPCA had an excellent panel at the Research Talks. With an audience of researchers from different areas, three researchers, designers and artists shared their projects in the areas of textiles and fashion. Many thanks to the speakers. They were great!
– Luísa Mendes explored the concept of embodiment in fashion, from clothing design to prosthetics, using innovative textile sensors for haptic feedback to enhance sensory interaction with the body. Her work is indicative of the dynamics between design, the human body and technology, towards creating new expressions and functionalities.
– Mariana Rêgo shared her professional and academic journey, which reflects a deep dedication to fashion and textiles, seeking to integrate new innovative practices. This journey highlights the ongoing dialogue between design and collaboration with the textile industry.
– ISZA, winner of the SANGUE NOVO competition at ModaLisboa, shared her journey, inspirations, and experiences in the field of fashion, exploring how she uses art to create impactful and innovative pieces through 3D printing.
