Ana Moreno is a designer, lecturer and researcher in Design. She has a degree in Design from the University of Aveiro and a scholarship from the Socrates/Erasmus Programme, having studied at the Universitá Iuav di Venezia. She has a master's degree in Image Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, having defended her thesis "The image of the immaterial. The shop from a holistic perspective of Cultural Heritage" with distinction. Leonardo da Vinci Programme scholarship holder at Magrada Proyectos (Barcelona). Currently she is a PhD candidate in design at FBAUP, and holds a scholarship by FCT, hosted by the ID+ Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture. Since 2016, she has been a guest lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) in the areas of Footwear Design, Illustration, Graphic Design, Introduction to Webdesign and Multimedia Supports, co-organising various exhibitions and guiding students in curricular internships at local companies. Professionally, she has been involved in different areas, from graphic, editorial and exhibit design, in companies both in Portugal and Spain, for clients such as the Ministry of Culture (MC), the Eventoplus Group and the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC). She is a founding member of the Douro Generation Association, where she actively collaborated in the funded project "Douro in Movement, Villages with Life" (NORTE-02-0752-FEDER-000009), especially in Action 2 - International Promotion. Currently, as well as teaching, she is a communication designer and publishes her work in national and international design conferences and book chapters. Her areas of interest include Graphic Design, Cultural Heritage, Experience Design, User-Centred Interface Design, Design Research Methods and New Media.
