Diana Vieira da Silva is an architect, designer, brand specialist and design researcher. Currently, doing her PhD in Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto at the Institute for Research in Design. Media and Culture (ID+), Diana started her independent professional practice as an architect, design and creative director, in Porto.
Diana's pursues to combine professional practice with design research in her areas of interest, including Architecture, Design, Heritage, Crafts and Traditional Industries, Design Anthropology, Design for Innovation and Sustainability, Communication and Brand Management.
She holds a Master Degree in Architecture (2010) from Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. She was an Erasmus scholar at the Institutto d' Architettura di Venezia in 2007/2008.
Between 2008 and 2011 she collaborated with Serôdio, Furtado & Associados, Arquitectos, in Porto. Since 2011 she is established in Oporto. Co-founder and leader of the Oficina project, a platform for visual expression, curatorship, and artistic practice dedicated to architecture and interior design. From 2004 to 2019 she collaborated with the Monseo brand, developing projects in the areas of product design, creative direction and brand management. With the project Portuguese Story received the international Golden A'Design Award 2017 in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category. She has been able to present her work in exhibitions and other national and international events.
