Santiago Mourão é bacharel em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade de Brasília (2006), mestre em Design da Imagem pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto (2017) e doutorando em Design na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. É investigador colaborador do Grupo de Investigação Unexpected Media Lab (LUME) do ID+ Instituto de Investigação em Design, Media e Cultura; e bolseiro de doutoramento da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT). Há mais de 15 anos que trabalha como ilustrador, designer gráfico e produtor cultural. Atualmente investiga e trabalha no sentido de aproximar o Design e a Comunicação de Ciência para promover a cultura e a literacia científicas.

Santiago Mourão has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Brasilia (2006), a master's degree in Image Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (2017) and is currently a PhD candidate in Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. He is a collaborating researcher at the Unexpected Media Lab Research Group (LUME) of the Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture [ID+] and has a PhD grant from of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). For over 15 years he has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and cultural producer. He is currently researching and working to bring Design and Science Communication closer together to promote scientific culture and literacy.
