Santiago Luiz Gonçalves Mourão

PhD student in Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Master in Image Design for the same institution. Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Brasilia. Currently I'm a consultant in visual education for entrepreneurship and citizenship, research associate at ID+ Design, Media and Culture Research Institute, staff member at the University of Porto in the AHEH Project - Arts and Humanities Entrepreneurship Hubs (Arts & Humanities Hub Alliance). Still within the scope of the AHEH project, I'm was part of the U.Porto entourage at the SHIP Startup Festival in Kotka/Finland, as well as part of the pitch's winning team in the AHEH European pilot on the University of Alcalá in Madrid (2019). Held the demonstration “Design at the service of simplifying public funding applications”, at Ciência 2019 - Meeting with Science and Technology in Portugal, in Lisbon. In 2017 I collaborated with 3 selected works for the 12th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial: Dingbats Brasília (project coordinator), Retrato Brasília's book (graphic project) and Suruba para Colorir book (illustrator). For 13 years I was owner and manager of Studio Ilustrativa, providing design, illustration and cultural production services. In 2015 I served as Design Specialist in the Technical Department of the House of Representatives, in Brasília/Brazil. Between 2013 and 2015 I was coordinator of the creative collective SINDICATO. In 2014, I was identified as a “Design Pioneer” and an “Arts Influencer” through the "Retrato Brasília" project, conducted by MINDSET/WGSN, promoted by Correio Braziliense newspaper, sponsored by Banco do Brasil.
