DESIGN obs

This project aims to develop an observatory of Portuguese Design and research for new ways of questioning, interpreting, visualizing and interacting with the harvested information. This project will only be meaningful if it becomes an agent of transformation of local and national realities that constitute the ecosystem of Portuguese Design, which implies a participatory approach in the design of the arguments, narratives and representations that can inform decisions. This initiative will have as support the REDE organization - a starting and evolving network of the institutions responsible for the higher education in design in Portugal, that covers almost all the country - to debate the challenges of design education and research and its real impact in the socioeconomic fabric.

In addition to the three institutions hosting ID + (DeCA/UA, FBA/UP, ESD/IPCA) this project has the participation of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL).
